Greek Garden
Maine Coon Kitten Application

Kitten Applications are Closed

Next Application Opening Date: TBA
We open applications for each litter when they turn 8 weeks old!
*Not all kittens in each litter will be available. Existing kitten families can reserve kittens a day before applications open, and we sometimes keep some behind as potential King/Queen Prospects.*

Sorry, I know… first there’s a bunch of reading:

  • Kittens can be reserved starting at 8 weeks old, do not go home until they are 12-13 weeks old. It is rare, but occasionally kittens will be held back if they need to heal longer from spay/neuter surgeries or if we do not believe they are ready to go quite yet.
  • Please make sure you have read our FAQs page! If you ask questions in your application that are already answered on the FAQs page (pricing, transport costs, etc), your application will receive lower priority.
  • Applications typically close within a few hours
  • If your application is selected, we will send you a message, and a 10-20 minute video call can be scheduled for you to meet the kittens. We do not allow deposits/reservations until you have met the kittens over video call and have reviewed the contract we send you. Please note, we try not to keep others waiting, so if you are unavailable for a video call within the next 24-48 hours, we may move on to the next person. We try to respond to all applications, even those we were not able to match a kitten to, but due to the volume of applications received please be aware that a response can take up to 2 weeks.
  • You can refer to our instagram, @mainegreekgarden, for more photos and videos of each Litter. If you click on our profile, you will see the “_____ Litter” highlight reels near the top!
  • We receive quite a few great applications each round and while it breaks our hearts, we are not able to choose each family right away, with the limited number of kittens we have. We take note of those who have applied multiple times and we try to select a kitten pairing for each suitable family within 2-3 application cycles whenever possible.

Evia - Red Silver Tabby
Polydactyl Girl

Reviewing Applications

Evia is a fairly outgoing girl who loves to explore new things. She is easily entertained by new things and she loves to be around people. Like all of her siblings, she absolutely loves to crawl into our laps to fall asleep.

Milos - Red Silver Tabby
Standard Paw Boy

Reviewing Applications

I would easily classify Milos as the most outgoing boy in the litter. I mean, just look at that face! Milos has to be wherever the action is, and if there is no action, he will create it. He loves to climb up onto our shoulders (this is something they tend to outgrow pretty quickly, but it’s cute while it lasts), and loves to play “King of the Lap”. This consists of him “hogging” an area of our laps by fully stretching out and batting away his siblings. Milos will do best with a playmate or sibling in his new home; we have found that kittens with his level of energy are more prone to “single kitten syndrome” if there are no other cats in the home.

Mykonos - Red Silver Tabby
Polydactyl Boy

Reviewing Applications

Compared to his brother Milos, Mykonos is calmer, but still definitely loves to play. He is a more middle-of-the-road kitten who is very adaptable. He doesn’t initiate as many of the play fights but still happily participates in them, and he of course loves lap naptime.

Official Application

Application will appear here when it is open!

Please read through the new steps to learn how to acquire a Greek Garden Maine Coon kitten:

1. When kittens reach 8 weeks of age, we will send an announcement to our email list (sign up at the bottom of this page) and post updates on our Instagram and Facebook pages. At that time, the application will become available on this page. The application will typically remain open for 24–48 hours, depending on the number of submissions received.

Applications open publicly with each litter.

2. Once applications are closed, we will spend some time reading through each application and selecting homes for each kitten. This process can take up to a week, or in rare cases, a little longer. If you are selected for a kitten, you will receive a text or email from us informing you which kitten(s) we would like to consider you for, and we will schedule a video call for you to meet the chosen kittens.

Priority Order for Kitten Selection

1 – Our cattery’s selection

2 – Existing kitten families

3 – All remaining applicants (slight priority given to those wanting to get two or more siblings together)

We understand that family situations can change, so to ensure we have the most up-to-date information, we no longer keep new applications on file. Instead, a new application will be required for each litter you would like to be considered for.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

3. Once the video call is completed, if you would like to go forward with the reservation process, you will receive a copy of the contract for the chosen kitten. You will have 24 hours to review the contract and submit the deposit in order to reserve your kitten.
