Applications Are Currently Closed

We open applications when kittens turn 8 weeks old, occasionally later if we have kept any under observation. Our next scheduled application opening dates are:
Next application oepening date: August 30th, 2026 – Queen Daphne x King Kratos’ Litter of 2.
We may have some teenage and/or retiree cats become available in the meantime, please sign up for emails if you would like to be notified about applications for them!
We have started posting more videos/reels rather than taking photos of the kittens at each age. You can find these posted across our social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. 
We are currently embarrasingly behind on messages. An answer to most questions can be found on our FAQs page. To those who applied for teenage cats Eris and Pandora, thank you and we plan to read through those applications this week!

How to Apply for a Greek Garden Maine Coon Kitten

Please read through the process before applying.

1. Application announcements
When kittens reach 8 weeks old, we announce application openings through our email list, Instagram, and Facebook. The application will become available on this page at that time and usually stays open for only a few hours, depending on the number of submissions.

Applications open publicly for each litter unless the entire litter has already been reserved by existing kitten families or held back for our program.

2. Priority order for kitten selection

  1. Our cattery’s selection
  2. Existing Greek Garden kitten families, who may reserve beginning around 7.5 to 8 weeks
  3. Remaining applicants, with slight priority given to families hoping to adopt two or more siblings together

We no longer keep new applications on file. A new application is required for each litter you would like to be considered for, unless you are an existing kitten family who stays in touch with us.

3. Application review and video calls
Once applications close, we review each one and select homes for the kittens. This can take up to a week, and occasionally longer. If selected, you will receive a text or email letting you know which kitten or kittens we would like to consider you for.

Before any deposit or reservation is accepted, we require a 10 to 20 minute video call so you can meet the kittens. Please try to respond and schedule quickly. If we do not hear back within 24 to 48 hours, we may move on to the next applicant.

4. Contract and reservation
After the video call, if you would like to move forward, we will send the contract for your chosen kitten. You will have 24 hours to review the contract and submit the deposit to reserve your kitten.

Important notes

Kittens may be reserved starting at 8 weeks old, but they do not go home until around 12 to 13 weeks. Occasionally, kittens are held back longer if they need extra time after surgery, are not quite ready, or are being evaluated for our breeding program.

We no longer place kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Kittens must either go home with a sibling or to a home that already has another friendly cat or kitten of any breed. This prevents the development of “Single Kitten Syndrome”.

Please read our FAQ page before applying. If your application asks questions already answered there, such as pricing, transport, or application priority, your application will receive lower priority.

We receive many wonderful applications and cannot choose every family right away. We do take note of repeat applicants and try to match suitable families within 2 to 3 application cycles when possible.

Amaranth is a more outgoing girl, not the ringleader during crazy zoomie times but happy to join in and follow everyone around. She is better at relaxing (sometimes) and often likes to play on our laps.

Reviewing Applications​

Linus is a little hard to describe, he is neither calm like Poppy nor chaotic like Saffron. He is really big on eye contact (he will sit and quietly stare at you all day until you pick him up) and he is obsessed with back rubs. He’s a little quieter than some of his siblings. He is quite comfortable with people and likes to be on our laps as long as his siblings aren’t jumping all over us at the same time.

Oliver is not without his moments of crazy, but he is such a sweetheart. We joke that he is only happy if he is physically touching someone. He will sometimes pretend to be minding his business sitting next to us leaning against our legs, but if we move, he voices his disapproval. Saffron sometimes seems to have a bad influence on him, there was one instance where he tried to climb onto my back while playing with her. But besides that he is pretty much a lap boy!

Reserved

Peony has been reserved by an existing kitten family. She will get to live with her half brother, Fig, from the Meze Litter!

Peony is a silly girl who is quite outgoing and loves to be right near us. She can often be found napping in the food bowl or making a mess somewhere.

Poppy is probably the cutest kitten to ever exist, in my opinion. She is quite calm as far as kittens go, is often purring, and loves to lounge. Of course she has her moments of crazy, as any kitten does, but she is slower to join the chaos and happy to sit on a lap.

Saffron has to be at the center of everything. She climbs on my shoulder. She tries to go up and sit on top of my head. She seems to always be doing something, and she does it with spice. She is very vocal and is likely to grow to be a “velcro” cat.

Reviewing Applications​

Zephyr‘s personality is quite similar to Saffron’s, with about a teaspoon less crazy. This boy is practically always purring. He seems to be one of the ringleaders of the litter. He doesn’t try to climb us (too often) but he does really like to hop around and has the zoomies a lot.

Please note: We do not accept applications for future kittens, nor do we keep a waitlist. Only kittens or cats that are currently listed as available can be applied for. 

As mentioned in our FAQs, we do not give breeding rights unless you are an approved cattery with proper health testing done (see FAQs, genetic panels are not nearly enough testing!). This is exceptionally rare. The rest of our kittens go to their new homes already spayed and neutered. This greatly decreases risk of reproductive issues, marking and spraying, and aggressive behavior.
