Cream Ticked Tabby

Triton is a big boy! We waited a long time for him and were finally able to welcome him at 4 months old. He is everything we could have hoped for—an incredibly sweet, gentle giant and the perfect example of the large Maine Coon breed. Despite his leonine (lion-like) face, Triton has the most adorable baby voice that doesn’t match his imposing, majestic Maine Coon appearance at all.

Because of his very large size, we are extra cautious in using Triton as our King. Maine Coons are already a large breed, and Triton is considered “extreme” in both size and features. We chose him because he brings a beautiful balance to our girls, blending some of their more “American” features to create show-winning Maine Coon kittens. Triton is also competing in shows himself!

We closely monitor Triton’s hips and joints, as larger Maine Coons are sometimes bred irresponsibly without considering health and structure. While bad hips can occur in any size, they are especially detrimental in larger cats. Triton’s hips are perfect—rated normal/normal on PawPeds—as are his patellas. He also has wonderfully straight legs in both the front and back. He really is the ideal Maine Coon king!
