Our Active Maine Coon Queens

Greek Garden Maine Coons

All of our Maine Coon Kings and Queens undergo thorough health testing, including graded hip x-rays, heart echocardiograms, DNA panels, bloodwork, and fecal and respiratory PCRs as needed. These tests ensure optimal health and breeding quality. All of our breeding cats are TICA and/or CFA registered, ideal for producing top-quality kittens for breeding or show.

Red Solid, TICA and CFA Registered

Athena is very special to us. Born right here in our cattery as part of our very first Odyssey litter, she has always stood out. From the time she was a young kitten, we saw her great potential as a future queen, and we knew we had to keep her. Watching her grow from a kitten to a teenager, and now into a stunning adult, has been a true joy.

Athena is a red solid, which is a very rare color, especially for a female cat. The color red solid in cats is special because it fails to hide “ghost” patterns, the tabby patterns all cats carry that are typically masked if a cat carries two copies of the solid gene, like Athena does. There is a very subtle difference between red solid and red tabby cats, most noticeable on the cat’s chin: on a red solid, the chin will range from red to a slightly paler creamy color, but NOT white, and on a red tabby cat, the chin will be pure white (see red tabbies Calliope and Apollo).

Calliope is a very impressive girl. Compared to most of our other cats, she has the most “European” features (note that there is no such thing as a “European Maine Coon”, the breed originated in America and therefore all Maine Coons as a breed are an American breed). She is a very sweet cat despite her grumpy Maine Coon face, and has a quiet, higher pitched little meow that doesn’t match her looks at all.

She loves to play with interactive toys (her favorite is a little automated flapping bird toy) and flop on the floor for belly rubs. Her one fault is that she doesn’t seem to understand that she’s a big cat and likes to jump on our faces in the middle of the night. We still love her though.

Calliope has a great pedigree (she is a half sister to our retired Queen Aphrodite!), has passed her hip evaluation as of January 2024, advanced heart echocardiogram as of March 2024, has a clear genetic panel, and is also clear on all of her bloodwork including FIV, FeLV, and Heartworm testing.

Clio is a stunning, huge, very friendly girl. She tends to turn heads as she is one of our most vibrant and uniquely colored Queens! True to the Maine Coon breed, she has exceptionally long legs and a very long body.

Queen Clio is sister to Queen Chloe, and both of them share a “velcro cat” personality with a huge love of attention and cuddles. Both Clio and Chloe come from our absolute favorite lines and have the health testing to show for it! They both have Normal/Normal hip grades and clear heart echocardiograms, with the most recent one performed in May of 2025. They also both have fully clear genetic panels.

Clio will make her show debut in the 2025-2026 show season. We believe she will do amazing!

Greek Garden Maine Coons

Black Silver Classic Torbie, TICA and CFA Registered

Selene was born right here at Greek Garden, on Thanksgiving day, 2023! Daughter of King Apollo and Queen Iris. She has always had a lot of spunk and is never afraid to share her opinions with us. From a young age, it was apparent based on her striking markings, patented tortie-tude, and her incredible lineage that Selene was destined to stay with us.

Selene has now passed her first hip grading (graded normal left, normal right), patellar grading, her first annual heart echocardiogram, initial bloodwork for FIV, FeLV, and Heartworm, and has an entirely clear genetic panel. Not to mention an incredibly low COI (coefficient of inbreeding), especially from Maine coon standards!

If all goes well, Selene is intended to be the mother of our next King, and we are beyond excited to see our first “grandchildren” from her as soon as she is more grown and ready!
